Fall Jeep Ride || Mantua 2017
The beginning of October is LDS General Conference and Park and I always like to do something fun usually involving going out of town to Moab, Island Park or to the Cabin. This year it wasn’t in the cards so we called up Park’s parents to meet us in Mantua, Utah about 20 minutes from our house to Jeep up to inspiration point. We stopped at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants (Ricardo’s in Brigham City) We got going up the mountain and the leaves were unbelievable BEAUTIFUL! About 15 minutes into the ride the sun went away and the prettiest fog was going through the trees. I love fall, jeeping, Mexican food and the mountains so it made for the one of the best days for our little family.
Park’s parents headed back home and we decided to keep driving up a little bit more to see if we could make it to inspiration point. Unexpectedly the Jeep started overheating 🙁 it was the worst but it could have been SOOO much worse and we could have gotten stuck up on the mountain with NO SERVICE. We got off the mountain just fine and instead got stuck on the freeway but we were saved by Papa (Park’s Dad) who drove back up and towed us home. We had the best day turned a little sucky but how can you keep it a bad day after you had just been in a Jeep in the gorgeous fall mountains!
